Each year, we hold elections for students to vote on who they’d like to see lead the Students’ Union. 

As a UCLan student, you’re automatically a member of the Students’ Union and that gives you the right to stand and vote in any of our elections. Nominations are now closed!

Full-Time Officer Elections 2021

The Full-Time Officers are a team of four elected representatives (Students' Union President, Vice President Education, Vice President Welfare and Vice President Activities) who work together to lead the Students' Union. Each of these roles are a paid, full-time role where you'll also have access to a supportive and experienced staff team.

Post Graduate Research Reps

As your Students' Union, we work to represent all students. We have introduced the role of Postgraduate Research Representative this year, to ensure that we hear from and work with PGR students in each School on issues that matter to them. There are two roles for PGR Reps per School and if elected. you will be invited to; - Attend Faculty Level Research and Innovation Committees (3 times per year) to represent the PGR student voice - Attend a forum held each semester by the Students' Union to discuss any issues you face and network with other PGR students. School President Elections

School Presidents are the senior level student representation to voice the opinions of students within each school at UCLan. They gain feedback from students and work in partnership with school senior management to create positive change on a school level. School Presidents will all receive training and development opportunities, as well as being able to access support from the Union's Academic Representation staff team to help them in their role. Sports and Societies Development Committee Elections

The Sports and Societies Development Committees are two elected groups of students who represent all Sports and Societies on offer within UCLan Students' Union. The Committees meets regularly to review all grant applications and affiliation requests for new groups.

Students' Council Elections

Every member of the Students’ Council represents the views of a different community at UCLan. Council Members represent students' views and debate constructively on key issues at meetings. They also check that the Full Time Elected Officers are keeping standards high across the Students’ Union! The Students’ Council votes on Union policy (submitted through Your Big Ideas) and ensures that existing policies are put into action. Roles include: Chair of Council, Open Council Members, Liberation Reps and Section Reps.

Club and Society Committee Elections

Do you want to lead your Sports Club or Society to achieve great things next year? Nominating yourself to be part of your group's committee could see you elected and doing just that! The committee works together to develop the group and ensure members are having a great experience. Committee members all receive training and development to help them run their group as well as having access to support from the Union's Activities staff team and the Vice President Activities.
